About Us
We live, work and play in an especially beautiful part of British Columbia's historically famous interior region, called "the Cariboo". Tucked in a small valley well off the beaten path, we are surrounded by solitude, natural beauty, and the sparkling waters of Tingley Creek winding through lush meadows. Beyond this lie the forests from which these rockers are made. |
Molly was born and raised on a farm near Big Lake here in the Cariboo. This
upbringing taught her several practical skills, including being an accomplished woodworker. Molly is also very artistic. Her creative
talents spill out into her photography, artwork, paper making, and woodwork. Backcountry sports like snowboarding, biking,
rock climbing, and hiking are also a big part of Molly's life.

I have made woodworking my primary income source for over 20 years. My
first rocking chair was built in 1990 for my wife, Emma, who was a nursing mom at the time. Right away, requests started coming in from
other nursing moms, avid knitters, and serious book readers. Finally, in the spring of 2003, Molly and I refined my original
design, and started making Tingley Creek Rockers in earnest. - Bob Blaue
